I live for my cats and a chance to make a difference in the world.
Background
I am Native American, yet have never been a part of the people or the traditions of my ancestors. Thus, several of my poems are from a radical native view.
Raised in a poverty-stricken family, suffering through many tragedies - both personal and otherwise - I have a lot of controversial opinions and some intense moments of mental anguish that run through almost every poem of length that I have written and will write.
Philosophy
Raised Southern Baptist, I came to realize that what was being forced down my throat every Sunday was total B.S. I am anti-religious yet respectful of those who believe as they wish, as long as they let me equally not believe as I wish.
Poets
As I was born in Galesburg, IL and moved to the Chicago area, and as I have portrayed him at various times on several occasions, I feel as if I am walking in the footsteps of Carl Sandburg. Otherwise, I have no favorite poet.
Books
Roger Zelazny, Orson Scott Card, Harry Harrisson, F.M. Busby, Anne McCaffrey, Michael Moorcock. Dragonlance, Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Time Travel novels.
Music
KMFDM, Gravity Kills, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, NIN, Robbie Robertson, Stabbing Westward, Nickelback, Godhead, Godsmack, Sinisstar. If it has a great beat, well-done composition, and is NOT country or religious, I might like it.
Movies
The Fifth Element, Star Trek: First Contact, ID4, 12 Monkeys, Butterfly Effect, others...
Foods

Hobbies
Poetry, online gaming, PC gaming, music, reading, writing...
I'm all over your poetry, your insights, your cover art. I'm also VERY interested in how you achieved the bold and italicized words in your poems. How did you accomplish that?
Hey there...
I really enjoyed 'SILENCE is deadly' it's really got quite a bit of imagination going on there and pretty creative!
It was a really good read
How to use Italics/Bold effects in your poetry Xoandre M
As many people have asked me to explain
how I managed to italicize and make my text bold.
I figured I should write a simple tutorial
for those who would love to incorporate
such modifications within their own poetry postings.
I have been using basic HTML code
to accomplish these subtle, yet effective formatting changes...
NOTE: remove any spacing in the code itself
in order to use these formatting codes.
I placed spaces between them in order to show you what they are.
ITALICS:
Place < i > before the text you wish to make italic
and < / i > at the exact place where you wish to end the italics.
BOLD:
Place < b > before the text you wish to make bold
and < / b > at the exact place where you wish to end the bold effect.
Also note that only ONE style at a time may be placed on a string of text.
So, you will not be able to make something both italic and bold.
At the same time, you can use a more complicated combination of the two
by enhancing portions of words for more interesting effect, as shown below:
HELLO! Transfiguration DigitalVerse.org
< b > HELL< / b > < i > O! < / i >
< i > Trans < / i > < b > fig < / b > ur < i > ation < / i >
< b > Digital < / b > Verse. < i > org < / i >
again, without the spaces...
