Background
Born in Dominican Republic. Moved to LA, CALIF. when i was 2 till i was 8. Lived at 1341 Pebblehurst Street, Montebello. Went to Brightwood Public School till second grade. Moved back to DR 1971. Went to an american school from where i graduated in 1981. Studied medicine at dominican university, dropped out my last year. Long history of drugs and alcohol: began at age 12-13 stopped at 36. Been clean and sobber for the past 10 years. Picked up writing my first year at university. Actually my first poem was a rewrite of the song "Hello I Love You" by The Doors. It was about a bitch of a teacher i had for Man and Nature: Ecology (basic class for med school).
